We Solve Unusual Problems.

Welcome to Traversum

Traversum is an independent consultancy that works across intellectual and sectoral boundaries to deliver social impact.

Traversum’s work reflects our commitment to solving problems in the public realm. In solving these, we draw on our expertise and interest in strategy, business modelling, sales, growth, innovation, organisation design and development, and the management of change - but we do whatever it takes to help clients get where they need to go.

Purpose

Interests

Traversum's team share two core beliefs:
  • Our work should have a social purpose – it is not enough to pursue a sales target
  • Our work should be effective in solving problems and helping bring about change – it is not enough simply to produce a slide pack or a report.
Traversum is our vehicle for putting these beliefs into practice.

Track Record

Our track record includes:
  • Helping Nesta with its successful bid to become the joint-venture partner of the Behavioural Insights Team
  • Helping the board of the Centre for Ageing Better secure its £50m endowment from the Big Lottery Fund, and leading the team to set up the new organisation
  • Helping the DfE to design and launch its new What Works Centre for Children's Social Care
Our work is varied, but projects often involve one of:
  • Helping social-purpose organisations build their commercial capabilities
  • Policy and practice around innovation, behaviour change, and the “What Works” agenda
  • Designing and prototyping community-based innovations that can help create a welfare system for the 21st century

How We Work

Greg Wilkinson leads Traversum, drawing on a network of associates to enable the business to undertake larger and more complex projects for clients across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

This network strengthens Traversum’s ability to work across intellectual and sectoral boundaries, bringing the best from different spheres and disciplines to solve each client’s unique set of problems.
I found Greg's strategic grip - and his total commitment to working with me and the Board - utterly commendable. He was highly  professional and a great pleasure to work with.
- Lord Filkin, Chair, Centre for Ageing Better
